AN ORDINANCE <br />DESIGNATING AS A LANDMARK PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF <br />CHERRY AVENUE AND NINTH STREET, S. W., <br />KNOWN AS OAK LAWN. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville: <br />Section 1. Findings. The Council hereby finds and declares that <br />the structure located on property located at the intersection of <br />Cherry Avenue and Ninth Street, S. W., designated as Parcel 169 <br />on City Real Property Tax Map 30, known as Oak Lawn, is of special <br />historical and architectural significance to the community, and <br />that the community interest in the preservation thereof justifies <br />the imposition of special regulations upon such property, as <br />permitted by 915.1-503.2 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as <br />amended. <br />• Section 2. Designation. The structure described in Section 1 here- <br />of is hereby designated as a city historic and architectural landmark, <br />pursuant to the provisions of Article XVI of Chapter 31 of the <br />Code of the City of Charlottesville, 1976, as amended, and shall <br />henceforth be subject to all regulations imposed upon such landmarks <br />by such Article, as amended from time to time. <br />Copy Teste: <br />Clerk <br />Adopted by the Council <br />October 2, 1978 <br />C <br />
