0 <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 31-93, AS AMENDED, <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />TO PROVIDE FOR ASSEMBLY PLANTS, TESTING AND <br />RESEARCH FACILITIES IN B-3 BUSINESS DISTRICTS BY <br />SPECIAL PERMIT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, that <br />Section 31-93, as amended, of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, <br />1976, be amended and reordained as follows: <br />Section 31-93. Same - With special use permits. <br />The following uses may be permitted with a special use permit: <br />(a) Warehouses. <br />(b) Printing and publishing establishments. <br />(c) Manufacturing and processing establishments of a craft nature <br />(such as ice cream, candy, jewelry, millinery, clothing, pottery) which will <br />have a moderate adverse environmental impact on surrounding development in <br />• the form of smoke, odor, dust, noise, gas fumes and fire hazards. <br />(d) Residential high density up to one hundred twenty dwelling units <br />per acre in B-3 District adjacent to the B-4 District. <br />(e) Public utility facilities. <br />Assembly plants, testing facilities or research establishments <br />not exceeding ten thousand square feet in gross floor area, which will have <br />no more than a moderate adverse impact on surrounding properties in the form <br />of smoke, odor, dust, noise, gas fumes, fire hazards and traffic. Such <br />establishments may utilize up to ten percent of the gross floor area for <br />fabrication of parts. <br />Copy Teste: <br />Clerk of the Council <br />Adopted by the Council <br />April 2, 1979 <br />
