t <br />• <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF CERTAIN <br />CITY PROPERTY FOR OTHER PROPERTY OWNED BY THE <br />RECTOR AND VISITORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA. <br />WHEREAS, the construction of the Primary Care Center at the <br />University of Virginia Hospital has necessitated the widening of the right- <br />of-way of Lee Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia have <br />indicated a willingness to convey such additional right-of-way to the City <br />in exchange for certain City property located at the intersection of Lee <br />Street and Park Place; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed conveying to the <br />Rector and Visitors that certain parcel of land, containing 4,169 square feet,- <br />more <br />eet;more or less, shown as Parcel A on plat of Kurt M. Glocekner, C.L.S. , <br />• dated January 29, 1979, in exchange for the conveyance by the Rector and <br />Visitors of a perpetual easement and right-of-way for the widening of Lee <br />Street over that land containing 11, 799 square feet, more or less, <br />designated as "Additional R/W Area" on plat of Creed T. Elliott, C.L.S., <br />dated November 24, 1978, and revised December 7, 1978. <br />2. That the Clerk of the Council is authorized and directed to affix the <br />corporate seal of the City and attest the signature of the Mayor on such <br />deed of exchange, and to keep a copy of such -deed, with attached plats on <br />file with the papers of the meeting at which this ordinance is adopted. <br />Copy Teste: <br />the Council. <br />Ad,,pLud h7 the CQUui I <br />April 10, l�r''9 <br />
