No such residential structure shall be permitted to <br />encroach upon the floodway. Any eellar a€-a-residential-strnetnre-net <br />desigaed-fer-hnman-kabitatien-map-lie-below-the-elevatiea-of-the-enter-- <br />limot-ef-the-PP-B#striet;-presided-that-it-is-€leedgreefed-in-aeeerdaaee <br />Nith-{b}{3}-ef-this-Beet#en;-sad-€artker-gre�ided;-that-the-leeetiea-of-snek <br />strnetnre-deer-net-enereaek-ngen-ilea-€leedKay- <br />• (2) Any new structure, other than a residential structure, to be built <br />in a business or manufacturing zone overlapped by the FP District, or any <br />addition to an existing commercial or industrial building, shall be con- <br />structed so that the lowest floor is at least one foot higher than the <br />elevation of the outer limit of the FP District, or shall be floodproofed in <br />accordance with (b)(3) of this section and applicable provisions of the <br />Uniform Statewide Building Code; provided, that in no case shall such <br />structure encroach upon the floodway. <br />(3) In cases in which floodproofing measures are permitted to satisfy <br />the requirements of this article the planning commission shall seek to <br />insure in the process of site plan review that such measures will be con- <br />sistent with flood elevations, velocities and volumes of the intermediate- <br />regienal-€lead 100 year flood for the site in question. On any building <br />or structure for which floodproofing is required, such measures shall be <br />performed to an elevation of one foot above the level of the intermediate <br />regional -€lead 100 year flood. The following floodproofing measures may <br />be required: <br />a. Anchorage to resist flotation and lateral movement; <br />b. Installation of watertight doors, bulkheads, and shutters, or <br />• similar methods of construction; <br />
