Lights installed in the street right of way shall belong to the city and shall be maintained by the city. Lights installed on private property shall belong to the property owner but shall be serviced by the city. Except for gas mantles, all replacement parts for lights installed on private property shall be at the expense of the owner who shall be billed for such parts, if provided by the city. (�}--Prier-te-the-#este}}etten-ef-e-gas-}tght-a-germtt-ska}}-be-seenre�- fre�-tke-e#tp-eetkertrtng-sttek-tnste}}etten- (c) No new gas lights or other new ornamental uses of gas shall be permitted after July 1, 1979. Section 12-17. Responsibility for installations. (a) All gas connections from gas mains downstream to and including the meter shall be installed by the city at its own expense. All service pipes from the meter to the fixtures shall be installed at the expense of the owner or consumber, by or under the supervision of a master plumber or master gas fitter. The gas superintendent shall have the authority and •responsibility to determine the location of all lines downstream to and and including the meter. (b) Relocation of service lines, replacement or relocation of meters, and other changes in service or metering performed at the request of the customer and determined by the gas superintendent to be solely for the customer's his convenience, shall be billed to the customer at the city's cost for labor and materials. Section 26-47. Gas; Water and sewer mains; payment for improvements. All of the improvements required by sections 26-42 to 26-46 shall be made at the expense of the subdivider. Upon the execution of a satis- factory contract that such improvements will be made, and upon the payment by the subdivider of one-half of the estimated cost of ges; water and sewer mains, as determined by the engineering department of the city, ges; water and sewer mains will be installed by the city in such subdivision, or the portion thereof, in which the above improvements have been made. The city manager may require in any such contract, such guarantees by way of deposits or bond as may be proper to secure the performance thereof. Installation of gas mains shall be governed by the provisions of section 12-1.2. •
