Lights installed in the street right of way shall <br />belong to the city and shall be maintained by the city. Lights installed on <br />private property shall belong to the property owner but shall be serviced <br />by the city. Except for gas mantles, all replacement parts for lights <br />installed on private property shall be at the expense of the owner who shall <br />be billed for such parts, if provided by the city. <br />(�}--Prier-te-the-#este}}etten-ef-e-gas-}tght-a-germtt-ska}}-be-seenre�- <br />fre�-tke-e#tp-eetkertrtng-sttek-tnste}}etten- <br />(c) No new gas lights or other new ornamental uses of gas shall be <br />permitted after July 1, 1979. <br />Section 12-17. Responsibility for installations. <br />(a) All gas connections from gas mains downstream to and including <br />the meter shall be installed by the city at its own expense. All service <br />pipes from the meter to the fixtures shall be installed at the expense of <br />the owner or consumber, by or under the supervision of a master plumber or <br />master gas fitter. The gas superintendent shall have the authority and <br />•responsibility to determine the location of all lines downstream to and <br />and including the meter. <br />(b) Relocation of service lines, replacement or relocation of meters, <br />and other changes in service or metering performed at the request of the <br />customer and determined by the gas superintendent to be solely for the <br />customer's his convenience, shall be billed to the customer at the city's <br />cost for labor and materials. <br />Section 26-47. Gas; Water and sewer mains; payment for <br />improvements. <br />All of the improvements required by sections 26-42 to 26-46 shall be <br />made at the expense of the subdivider. Upon the execution of a satis- <br />factory contract that such improvements will be made, and upon the payment <br />by the subdivider of one-half of the estimated cost of ges; water and <br />sewer mains, as determined by the engineering department of the city, ges; <br />water and sewer mains will be installed by the city in such subdivision, <br />or the portion thereof, in which the above improvements have been made. <br />The city manager may require in any such contract, such guarantees by way <br />of deposits or bond as may be proper to secure the performance thereof. <br />Installation of gas mains shall be governed by the provisions of section <br />12-1.2. <br />• <br />
