3. <br />Section 12-1.3. Cost of new service connections. <br />The gas division shall install new service connections up to one <br />• one hundred -fifty feet from the main at no cost to the customer. The <br />additional cost to the city in extending any such service connection <br />bevond one hundred-fiftv feet from the main shall be charged to the customer. <br />Section 12-2.1. Certain categories of service prohibited. <br />Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, no new service <br />shall be initiated to a customer who will use the gas for power generation <br />or for boiler fuel purposes if the gas superintendent estimates that such <br />customer's potential consumption will exceed 300,000 cubic feet on the <br />average day of the peak month, as defined in Columbia Gas Transmission <br />Corporation's tariff provisions approved by the Federal Engergy Regulatory <br />Commission. <br />Section 12-2.2. Interruption of service. <br />The city will use reasonable diligence to provide continuous service <br />to non -interruptible gas customers, but will not be liable for interruption <br />or defects in service caused by acts of God, war or civil disorder, strikes <br />or labor disputes, failure of the city's wholesale pipeline supplier to <br />furnish gas or other cause beyond the city's control. <br />• Section 12-5. ornamental gas lights. <br />Where-the-e3tp-manager-hes-&eterm3neel-that-gas-sere3ees-ss-afre4}eb}e <br />far-seem-gergeses; Unmetered gas service under this section may be furnished <br />to consumers whonsta}}-er have installed ornamental gas lights. <br />(a) Monthly charge.
