Pg. 2 <br />The building official shall be responsible for the administration <br />of this chapter. <br />Section 5.05-3. Fire districts established. <br />All areas within the B-3 and B-4 Business Districts and the M-1 <br />and M-2 Industrial Districts of the city delineated by the city <br />zoning map are hereby declared to be in and are hereby established <br />as Fire District No. 1, and areas within the B-1 and B-2 Business <br />Districts of the city delineated by the city zoning map are hereby <br />declared to be in and are hereby established as Fire District No. 2 <br />for the application of the regulations included in the Statewide <br />Building Code. <br />Section 5.05-4. Building permits and fees. <br />Fees for building permits issued pursuant to the Statewide <br />Building Code shall be as follows: <br />(a) A minimum fee of eight dollars shall be charged for each <br />permit issued when the total cost or the total physical value of <br />the work performed is no more than two thousand dollars. <br />(b) When the cost or the total physical value of the work is <br />in excess of two thousand dollars, the fee for all permits shall be <br />based on the following schedule: <br />$ 2,001 up to $ 20,000 a fee of .40% of the estimated cost. <br />$20,001 up to $ 30,000 a fee of .39% of the estimated cost. <br />$30,001 up to $ 40,000 a fee of .38% of the estimated cost. <br />$40,001 up to $ 50,000 a fee of .37% of the estimated cost. <br />$50,001 up to $ 60,000 a fee of .36% of the estimated cost. <br />$60,001 up to $ 70,000 a fee of .35% of the estimated cost. <br />$70,001 up to $ 80,000 a fee of .34% of the estimated cost. <br />$30,001 up to $ 90,000 a fee of .33% of the estimated cost. <br />$90,001 up to $100,000 a fee of .32% of the estimated cost. <br />All estimated cost over $100,000 a fee of $320.00 plus <br />$1.00 for each $1,000 over $100,000. <br />(c) All permits shall be issued upon payment of the fee based <br />on the estimated total physical value. Upon completion of the work <br />for which a permit is issued, an accurate statement of the actual <br />cost thereof shall be furnished to the building official by the <br />party to whom the permit was issued. An adjustment of the difference <br />between the fee properly chargeable, based on the actual cost, and <br />the fee paid, based on the estimated total physical value, shall then <br />be made. If the actual cost exceeds the estimated cost, the party to <br />whom the permit was issued shall pay the difference in the fee; if <br />the actual cost be less than the estimated cost, then the city <br />
