Generally. <br />The design and installation of plumbing systems and sewer work <br />shall comply with the requirements of this chapter and the Statewide <br />Building Code. <br />Section 5.05-23. Basic Plumbing Code; local requirements. <br />The following blanks left in the Basic Plumbing Code, a part of <br />the Statewide Building Code, for insertion of local requirements, are <br />hereby completed as follows: <br />(a) The blank in section P-308.2 shall read "500 feet." <br />(b) The blanks in section P-313.3 shall read "two feet" for <br />water piping and "one foot" for sewer piping. <br />Section 5.05-24. Registered plumbers. <br />• Only a level two registered plumber or a Class "A" plumbing <br />contractor shall be allowed to secure permits to make plumbing or <br />sewer installations or alterations; provided, that each registered <br />plumber actually engaged in performing plumbing or sewer work may <br />have one or more level one helpers or apprentices directly under his <br />or her supervision. Any plumbing contractor taking a job which has <br />been started by another shall take out a new permit for such work <br />and shall be responsible for the entire work. <br />Section 5.05-25. Plumbing permits and fees. <br />Fees for plumbing and sewer work permits issued pursuant to the <br />Statewide Building Code shall be as follows: <br />(a) On new work a fee of eight dollars for the basic permit plus <br />three dollars for each fixture trap. <br />(b) On replacement work a fee of eight dollars for the basic <br />permit plus two dollara for each fixture trap. <br />(c) Seven dollars for each sewer or water connection from the <br />building plumbing system to the public sewer or water system. <br />• Section 5.05-26. Annual permits and fees. <br />Persons employing certified level one plumbers on a regular, <br />full-time basis may, in lieu of proceeding under section 5.05-25, elect <br />
