0 <br />0 <br />-)0 <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTIONS 2-1.2 AND 4-2 <br />OF THE ORDINANCE ADOPTED FEBRUARY 4, 1980 <br />THAT GRANTED A FRANCHISE TO MULTI -CHANNEL TV CABLE COMPANY <br />OF MANSFIELD, THE AMENDED SECTIONS RELATING TO <br />LEVELS OF SERVICE AND SIGNAL CARRIAGE AND TO RATES. <br />WHEREAS, on February 4, 1980, this Council adopted an <br />ordinance granting a franchise to Multi -Channel TV Cable Company <br />of Mansfield; and <br />WHEREAS, that ordinance established tiers or levels of <br />service, set rates to be charged for each tier of service, and <br />specified the signals to be carrier on each tier of service; and <br />WHEREAS, some of the signals required by that ordinance for <br />the second tier of service are no longer available and the <br />Company desires to substitute other signals, at increased cost, <br />and to increase its charges for the second tier of service; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia: <br />I. That Sections 2-1.2 and 4-2 of the ordinance adopted February <br />4, 1980 that granted a franchise to Multi -Channel TV Cable Company <br />of Mansfield are amended and reordained as follows: <br />Section 2-1.2. Levels of service and signal <br />carriage. <br />The company shall provide cable television programming <br />services in three separate tiers. Separate rates shall be main- <br />tained, as provided in Article IV, for each tier of service. <br />a.
