04 AN ORDINANCE <br />INCREASING FARES FOR CITY TRANSIT SYSTEM <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia: <br />1. That section 27-7.1, as amended, of the Code of the <br />City of Charlottesville, 1976, is amended as follows: <br />Section 27-7.1. Fares for city transit system. <br />There are hereby established the following fees for the <br />city transit bus system: <br />(a) For a one-way trip, the fare for a rider other <br />than a disabled person or a person sixty-five years of <br />age or older, shall be fertp fifty cents. <br />(b) For a one-way trip, the fare for a rider who is <br />disabled or who is sixty-five years of age or older shall <br />be twenty twenty-five cents. <br />• The city manager is hereby authorized to promulgate regulations <br />to provide a system of identification for riders eligible for <br />the reduced fare established in subsection (b) above. <br />2.
