(1) the date of the vaccination; (2) the date for required revaccination; (3) • the rabies tag number; (4) a brief description of the dog or cat and its age, sex and breed; and (5) the name and address of the animal's owner. (d) The certificate issued pursuant to subsection (b) of this section shall be preserved by the owner of the dog or cat and exhibited promptly on request for inspection by the animal control officer or any law enforcement officer. (e) Any person owning, keeping or harboring any dog or cat over four (4) months old shall have the required vaccination performed within sixty (60) days of the passage of this ordinance, or within sixty (60) days from the day on which the dog or cat is first owned, kept or harbored by the person, whichever is later. Section 4-19. Same - Evidence required before issuance of dog license. Same - Tag evidencing vaccination. The owner of any dog or his the owner's agent shall attach a-tag-evidencing-the-latest-vaee}nation-e€-such-deg-against-rabies to the collar of such dog the current rabies tag supplied by the veterinarian. Such collar and tag shall be worn by the dog at all times such dog is off the premises of the owner. Cat owners are encouraged to tag their cats similarly but are not required to do so. Section 4-21. Same - Dogs and cats brought into city for showing or breeding. Sections 4-18 to 4-20 of this Code shall not apply to any dogs or cats temporarily brought into the City, for a period not • to exceed thirty (30) days, for showing or breeding purposes, if such dogs or cats remain confined at all times.
