U <br />• <br />Sec. 10-30. Submission of delinquent lists to city council; <br />allowance of credit to city treasurer, etc. <br />(a) A copy of each of the three four lists mentioned in <br />section 10-28 shall be submitted by the city treasurer to the <br />city council. Such lists shall be submitted at the first meeting <br />of the city council held after the city treasurer shall have <br />completed the lists. <br />(b) The city council or a committee thereof, together with <br />the director of finance and the commissioner of the revenue, <br />shall examine such lists and if the same are found correct, the <br />director of finance shall allow the city treasurer credit for the <br />amounts thereof in his the treasurer's annual settlement, which <br />shall be made as of July 1 in each year; but if such lists, or <br />any of them, are found incorrect, credit shall be allowed for <br />only so much thereof as is correct. The director of finance <br />treasurer shall deliver a copy of the first of such lists <br />described in paragraph (a) of Section 10-28 to the commissioner <br />of the revenue, who shall correct his or her books accordingly. <br />(c) All amounts on the list described in paragraph (d) of <br />section 10-28 shall be charged off and exonerated. <br />Sec. 10-31. Publication of lists of delinquent real estate <br />and personal property taxes. <br />The city council shall cause such lists mentioned in <br />paragraphs (b) and (c) of section 10-28, or such parts thereof as <br />may be deemed advisable, to be published for two successive weeks <br />in a newspaper of general circulation in the city,- or in <br />handbiiis to be posted generaiiy throughout the city,- and at the <br />front door of the courthouse for a period of thirty days. <br />Sec. 10-33. Continuing collection of delinquent taxes for <br />one year. <br />The city treasurer shall continue to collect the taxes shown <br />on the delinquent lists for one year following June 30 of the <br />year as of which such delinquent lists speak. <br />
