0 <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN SECTION 15-6 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA, 1976, <br />AS AMENDED, RELATING TO <br />PENALTIES FOR FAILURE TO OBTAIN BUSINESS LICENSE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, Virginia, that Section 15-6 of the Code of the City of <br />Charlottesville, 1976, be amended and reordained as follows: <br />Section 15-6. Penalties for failure to obtain license. <br />Any person conducting a business, occupation or profession <br />or operating any machine or device or doing anything for the <br />conduct of which a license tax is required under this chapter, <br />without first obtaining such license, shall be subject to a <br />penalty of five percent of the amount of the license tax then <br />• due, but such penalty shall in no case be less than two dollars, <br />and such penalty shall be assessed and paid along with the <br />license tax and shall become a part of the license tax, and <br />there may shall be collected interest at eight ten percent per <br />annum on the tax and penalty from the date on which the tax <br />becomes delinquent.
