AN ORDINANCE
<br />INCREASING THE FEES FOR BUILDING, ELECTRICAL,
<br />PLUMBING, MECHANICAL AND SPECIAL PERMITS.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottes-
<br />ville, Virginia that Sections 5-4, 5-5, 5-20, 5-25 and 5-29
<br />of the Code of the City of Charlottesville, as amended, be
<br />amended and reordained as follows:
<br />Section 5-4. Building permits and fees.
<br />Fees for building permits issued pursuant to the State-
<br />wide Building Code shall be as follows:
<br />(a) A minimum fee of eight dollars shall be charged for
<br />each permit issued when the total cost or the total physical
<br />value of the work performed is no more than two thousand dollars.
<br />(b) When the cost or the total physical value of the work
<br />is in excess of two thousand dollars, the fee for all permits
<br />shall be based on the following schedule:
