• AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE (1976), AS AMENDED, <br />TO ADD A NEW ARTICLE, NUMBERED IV, RELATING TO <br />EMPLOYEE HEALTH CARE BENEFITS <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia: <br />That Chapter 20 of the Code of the City of Charlottesville <br />(1976), as amended, is hereby further amended and reordained <br />with a new Article IV, as follows: <br />ARTICLE IV. EMPLOYEE HEALTH CARE BENEFITS. <br />Section 20-39. Health insurance coverage for permanent <br />employees; eligibility; costs; family <br />coverage. <br />(a) Permanent CitX em to ees who work at least 20 hours <br />per week are eligible to artici ate in the City's Qrouu <br />insurance lan or <br />healthcare coverage. The Cit reserves the <br />rig t to amen t e <br />plan rom time to time as it eems a rip ol3riate <br />changing covera es <br />e uctibles payment schedules elii`biTity <br />waiting periods and <br />other incidents of t e Ian whit than es <br />IN <br />• <br />may increase or decrease the value of the to individual <br />employees. <br />(b) Full-time ermanent em to ees are e1. ible to receive <br />basic care coverage at City expense, ut the City reserves <br />the ri t to offer <br />extra covera at em to ee ex ense.
