[-I <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AMEND AND REORDAIN ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 23 <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1976, <br />AS AMENDED, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION NUMBERED 23-6.1, <br />PROHIBITING BRINGING GARBAGE OR REFUSE INTO THE CITY <br />AND DEPOSITING IT FOR COLLECTION, <br />AND PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY THEREFOR. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottes- <br />ville, Virginia, that Article II of Chapter 23 of the Code of <br />the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, as amended, is further <br />amended and reordained as follows: <br />Section 23-6.1. Unlawful placement for collection of <br />garbage or refuse from outside the City; penalty. <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any non-resident of the <br />City or any owner of a business not situated within the <br />City limits, or any agent of either, to bring bagged, <br />boxed or bundled household or business garbage or refuse <br />from outside the City into the City and deposit it anywhere <br />• herein for collection by the public service division of the <br />City public works department. <br />(b) Any person violating any provision of subsection <br />(a) above shall be guilty of a Class I misdemeanor. <br />Approved by Council <br />February 3, 1986 <br />C,Urk of Council <br />86-7-1 <br />n <br />LJ <br />
