AN ORDINANCE <br />• CLOSING, VACATING AND DISCONTINUING <br />A PORTION OF AN ALLEY <br />BETWEEN BRANDON AVENUE AND MONROE LANE <br />WHEREAS, proper notice that application would be made to <br />the City Council of the City of Charlottesville to have the <br />hereinafter described alley closed, vacated and discontinued as <br />duly posted and advertised; and <br />WHEREAS, all owners abutting said street have been duly <br />notified; and <br />WHEREAS, application was made to the City Council, and <br />pursuant to the statutes in such cases made and provided, the <br />Council appointed viewers who have submitted reports as to <br />whether any inconvenience would result from such closure, <br />vacation and discontinuance; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the said alley located in <br />said City, described as follows, is, effective upon the <br />recordation of the final version of the attached document, as <br />approved by the City Attorney, closed, vacated and discontinued <br />as a public thoroughfare of the City of Charlottesville, <br />• Virginia, said alley not being needed for public vehicular use <br />and travel: <br />The alley between Brandon Avenue and Monroe <br />Lane, approximately 210 feet long and 15 feet <br />wide, between parcels 101 and 102 on City Real <br />Property Tax Map 11, as shown on plat of G.V. <br />"Kirk" Hughes, dated October 23, 1985, revised <br />November 25, 1985, a copy of which is attached <br />to this ordinance. <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Clerk of the Council shall <br />send a copy of this ordinance with plat attached to the Clerk <br />of the Circuit Court for recordation in the current street <br />closing book. <br />Approved by Council <br />January 6, 1986 <br />%L�w1ti-E� <br />C rc Ot Council <br />85-7-39 <br />
