• <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF LAND <br />LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF CARLTON AVENUE AND CARLTON ROAD <br />TO THE CHARNAN LAND TRUST. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville no longer has any use for <br />a parcel of land which it owns, located on the corner of Carlton <br />Avenue and Carlton Road in the City of Charlottesville, being <br />approximately 266 square feet in area and identified as Parcel `X' <br />on plat dated December 6, 1989 by Thomas B. Lincoln Land Surveyor, <br />Inc., which is attached hereto; and <br />WHEREAS, the Charnan Land Trust has asked the City to convey <br />this parcel of land to the Trust because it owns a brick wall with <br />sign attached which encroaches onto this parcel of land; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that the conveyance of Parcel `XI described above is <br />hereby authorized, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute <br />a quitclaim deed, in form approved by the City Attorney. The <br />conveyance of this parcel is conditioned upon approval by the <br />Planning Commission of the combination of Parcel `X' with Parcel <br />`B', as shown on the attached plat. <br />Approved by Council <br />January 16, 1990 <br />Cork o City Counct <br />90-7-1 <br />
