• AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING AND REORDAINING SECTION 5-1 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1990, AS AMENDED, <br />TO INCREASE THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF <br />CITY BUILDING REGULATIONS AND CODES <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that Section 5-1 of Chapter 5 of the Code of the City of <br />Charlottesville, 1990, as amended, is hereby amended and reordained <br />to read as follows: <br />CHAPTER 5 <br />BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS <br />Article I. In General <br />Section 5-1. Violations of chapter. <br />Except as otherwise specifically provided, a violation of any <br />provision of this chapter, including any provision of the codes <br />adopted in article II, shall constitute a misdemeanor punishable by <br />a fine of not more than two <br />• thousand. five hundred dollars ($2.500.00). In addition, a person <br />guilty of such violation shall make good all damages arising by <br />reason of the violation and shall be subject to revocation of his <br />license to do business in the city. <br />Approved by Council <br />December 21, 1992 <br />rk of City Council <br />0 <br />
