<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville,
<br />Virginia, that Sections 29-63, 29-119, 29-120, 29-126, 34-4, 34-47,
<br />34-106, 34-141, 34-143, 34-173, 34-201, 34-221, 34-440, 34-470, 34-
<br />472, 34-473, 34-473.1, 34-474, 34-567, 34-569, 34-573, 34-580, 34-
<br />700, 34-702, 34-723, 34-732, 34-771, 34-781, 34-805, 34-806, 34-
<br />834, 34-835, 34-857.3, 34-884, 34-905, 34-938, 34-941, 34-977, 34-
<br />1009, and 34-1032, of the Charlottesville City Code, 1990, as
<br />amended, are hereby amended and reordained as follows:
<br />CHAPTER 29. SUBDIVISIONS.
<br />Sec. 29-37. Required improvements to be guaranteed through bonding;
<br />procedure.
<br />Sec. 29-63. Grades.
<br />(a) The maximum allowed street grade without special approval
<br />shall be ten 40) eight (8) percent. Hemmer-, g-ades in emeess =f
<br />(b) The planning commission may allow grades in excess of ten
<br />(3:9) eight (8) percent where it determines that such a street grade
<br />will permit better lot arrangements with less adverse environmental
<br />impact.
