Sec. 34-1009. Enlargement of nonconforming building, premises or <br />uses. <br />• No conforming building, premises, or uses except when required <br />to do so by law or ordinance, shall be enlarged, extended <br />(including extension of hours of operation), reconstructed or <br />structurally altered, unless such use is changed to one permitted <br />in the district in which such building or premises is located. Any <br />petroleum product bulk storage plant in use as of May 1, 1961, in <br />an M-1 Industrial area may repair, reconstruct or structurally <br />alter such plant or a portion thereof if such is done in compliance <br />with the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code, this Code and <br />other city ordinances. <br />Sec. 34-1032. Initiation of change; procedure; fees. <br />(e) Fee. <br />(1) There shall be a fee of fifty ($SG nn1 one hundred ($100.00) <br />dollars for each rezoning petition, to cover the cost of <br />advertising of notices and other expenses incident to the review <br />and processing of the application. The fee shall be paid at the <br />time of submission of the petition. <br />• (2) Any change initiated by the city council or the planning <br />commission shall be exempted from the above fee requirement. <br />Approved by Council <br />October 18, 1993 <br />rk of City Couticil <br />• <br />Page 18 <br />
