AN ORDINANCE <br />• ADDING A NEW SECTION NUMBERED 4-42 TO ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 4, <br />OF THE CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY CODE, 1990, AS AMENDED, <br />REGARDING REMOVAL OF DOG FECES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council for the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that a new section numbered 4-42 of Article I of Chapter <br />4 is hereby added to the Charlottesville City Code, 1990, as <br />amended, to read as follows: <br />ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL <br />Section 4-42. Removal of dog defecation. <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any person owning, keeping, or <br />a sanitary manner whenever such dog has defecated upon the <br />following described property: <br />Lee Park, Jackson Park, and McGuffey Park; <br />the Meadow Creek Golf Course; <br />• 3) The Downtown Pedestrian Mall from Ridge -McIntire to the <br />Ninth Street bridge, including the East End amphitheater, <br />and on any other publicly maintained and paved sidewalks, <br />streets, and bicycle paths; <br />Regularly maintained public school property; and <br />(5) The property on which the Albemarle County Court Houses <br />and the Albemarle County Office Building are located. <br />trespass upon public or private property. <br />u Any person violating the provisions of this section shall <br />be guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor. <br />Approved by Council <br />December 19, 1994 <br />•C16rk of City Council <br />
