• AN ORDINANCE <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE CONVEYANCE OF AN OPTION <br />TO VDOT FOR THE SALE OF PROPERTY <br />LOCATED ON WEST MAIN STREET <br />(9TH & 10TH CONNECTOR ROAD PROJECT) <br />11 <br />WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) wishes to acquire an <br />option for certain property owned by the City of Charlottesville on West Main Street (City Tax <br />Map 10, Parcel 72) for the construction of the 9th -10th Street Connector Road; and <br />WHEREAS, by resolution approved April 18, 1994, the City approved the major design <br />features of the project and requested VDOT to proceed with acquisition of all necessary rights <br />of way; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that the City <br />hereby grants to the Virginia Department of Transportation an option to purchase certain <br />property on West Main Street, more particularly described in the attached option agreement, and <br />the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an option agreement, in form approved by the City <br />Attorney and substantially in the same form as attached hereto. The mayor is also authorized <br />to execute any and all documents, including a deed, necessary to effect a closing if the aforesaid <br />option is exercised. <br />Approved by Council <br />August 21, 1995 <br />R a, <br />C e k of City Council <br />
