September 1958 or at the effective date of this section on <br />• January 1, 1976, whichever is greater. <br />Section 34-728. Drainage; resistance to erosion and <br />maintenance and slope. <br />All off-street parking facilities whether required or not, for <br />multi -family residential, commercial, industrial, institutional or <br />recreational uses shall be so drained as to prevent damage to <br />abutting properties or public streets and shall be constructed with <br />a minimum improved surface of c_ -f--_ treated grave_ hard asphalt <br />topping or other surface resistant to erosion and acceptable to the <br />director of public works. The owner of the parking facility shall <br />be responsible for maintenance of such drainage and surface. <br />Parking areas shall be constructed with a slope of five (5) percent <br />or less. The planning commission or the director of planning and <br />community development may, however, permit slopes up to ten (10) <br />percent where necessary for reasons of topography. <br />Section 34-729. Standards for single- and two-family uses. <br />All new off-street parking facilities for single and two- <br />family uses, including spaces, driveways and accesses, shall be <br />drained so as to prevent damage to abutting properties and public <br />• streets. All such parking facilities shall be constructed with a <br />minimum improved surface of sui-fa-ec ticeated gravel hard asphalt <br />topping or with such other surface which isacceptable to the <br />director of public works and which is resistant to erosion or which <br />does not cause drainage problems. The owner of the parking <br />facility spaces, driveways or accesses shall be responsible for <br />maintenance of such drainage and surface. The parking areas shall <br />be constructed with a slope of five (5) percent or less. The <br />planning commission or the director of planning and community <br />development may, however, permit slopes up to ten (10) percent <br />where necessary for reasons of topography. <br />Section 34-733.
