AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING AND REORDAINING SECTIONS 34-575,34-902 AND 34-903 <br />OF CHAPTER 34 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1990, AS AMENDED, <br />RELATING TO THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR CERTIFICATES <br />OF APPROPRIATENESS AND SITE PLANS AND TO RECEIVING <br />PUBLIC COMMENT ON SITE PLAN APPLICATIONS <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that <br />Sections 34-575, 34-902 and 34-903 of Chapter 34 of the Charlottesville City Code, <br />1990, as amended, are hereby amended and reordained as follows: <br />ARTICLE XVIII. HISTORICAL <br />PRESERVATION AND ARCHITECTURAL <br />DESIGN CONTROL DISTRICTS <br />Sec. 34-575. Application <br />• After the preapplication review, if any, has been completed and at least ten (10) <br />twenty-one (2 1) days prior to the meeting at which an application matter will be heard, the <br />owner may apply to the BAR, through the director of neighborhood development services <br />planning, for a certificate of appropriateness. The BAR may waive this twenty-one day <br />requirement when necessary for reasons of public health or safety. The owner and any other <br />interested party shall be afforded the right to be heard on the application prior to a decision <br />by the BAR. <br />ARTICLE XXI. SITE PLANS <br />Sec. 34-902. Preapplication conference. <br />(a) All applicants for site plan review shall first submit a preliminary plan and request <br />a preapplication review conference. Preliminary plans must be submitted at least twen -one <br />(21) days prior to the preapplication review conference. <br />0 <br />
