• <br />(2) Upon receipt of confirmation that an on -street parking survey shows that fewer than <br />50% of the total number of on -street oarkine spaces on a restricted oarkine block are <br />use of Drooerty adjacent to a restricted oarkine block is less <br />should remove oarkine restrictions with resnect to <br />and a date shall be set for Council consideration of the matter. <br />(c) Notice of the date of Council consideration shall be given to residents and businesses situated along the <br />restricted parking block, in the same manner as provided within section 15-203(c) of this division. <br />(d) In considering whether to remove the parking restrictions from a restricted parking block, Council shall <br />consider all information it deems relevant to the matter, including, without limitation: recommendations <br />provided by the traffic engineer, the Director of Neighborhood Development Services, the City Manager, or <br />other individuals. Council shall also consider the purposes and intent of this division, and the impact, if <br />any, positive or adverse, that removal of such parking restrictions may have on nearby neighborhoods or <br />blocks. Following consideration of the proposal, if it finds such action will serve the public interest and <br />welfare, Council may act by resolution to remove the parking restrictions from a restricted parking block. <br />If Council adopts such action, the traffic engineer shall promptly cause all permit parking district signs to <br />be removed from said block, and shall promptly notify the city treasurer of the city council's action. <br />Sec. 15-204. Designation of Permit Parking Zones . <br />(4The following areas of the city are hereby designated as permit parking zones 41;4; which it ARM ba <br />divis}ea, and any streets referenced as boundaries shall be deemed included as part of such zones: <br />Zone I. That area bounded on the south by Thomson Road, on the east by Emmet Street, on the north by <br />Ivy Road and on the west by the city limits. <br />Zone 2. That area bounded on the north by Stadium Road, Emmet Street, and Jefferson Park Avenue, on <br />the west by Appletree Road, on the south by Jefferson Park Avenue, Valley Road, Valley Road Circle and <br />the Southern Railroad track and on the east by Monroe Lane. <br />Zone 3. That area bounded on the north by University Circle and University Way, Grady Avenue, Preston <br />Place, I Oth Street, N. W., and West Street; on the east by 9th Street; on the south by Page Street between <br />9th and 10th Streets, 10th Street between Page Street and Wertland Street, Wertland Street from 10th Street <br />to 15th Street, 15th Street to Virginia Avenue, Virginia Avenue and the C & O Railroad track between <br />Virginia Avenue and Rugby Road; and on the west by Rugby Road and University Way. <br />Zone 4. That area bounded on the north by Perry Drive, Parkway Street, Farrish Street, Malcolm Crescent, <br />Kelly Avenue and Poplar Street, on the east by Locust Avenue, on the south by East High Street, and on the <br />west by Altamont Street and First Street and including Altamont Circle and Walker Street. <br />Zone 5. That portion of Edgewood Lane between its intersection with Rugby Road and its point of <br />divergence from Fendall Avenue. <br />Zone 6. That area bounded on the east by 5th Street, N.W., on the north by the southern property line of the <br />city maintenance yard, on the west by 71/2 Street, N.W., on the south by Elsom Street, the 100 block of 7th <br />Street, N.W. and Commerce Street. <br />Zone 7. That area bounded on the north by Grove Street, Estes Streeet and the CSX Railroad, on the west <br />by Baker Street and North Baker Street, on the south by Cherry Avenue, and on the east by 5th Street, S.W. <br />Zone 8.
