0 <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING AND REORDAINING SECTION 15-99 <br />OF ARTICLE IV OF CHAPTER 15 OF THE CHARLOTTESVILLE CITY CODE, <br />1990, AS AMENDED, REDUCING THE SPEED LIMIT ON RUGBY AVENUE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that Section 15- <br />99 of Article IV of Chapter 15 of the Charlottesville City Code, 1990, as amended, is hereby <br />amended and reordained, as follows: <br />ARTICLE IV. SPEED LIMITS. <br />Sec. 15-96. Maximum limits generally. <br />No person shall drive any vehicle upon a street of this city at a speed in excess of: <br />(1) Twenty-five (25) miles per hour in a business or residential district unless otherwise <br />prescribed by the proper authorities of the city pursuant to the provisions of Code of <br />Virginia, section 46.2-1300. <br />• (2) Thirty-five (35) miles per hour, except in business or wgidence residential districts and <br />except as otherwise provided in this article or unless otherwise prescribed by the property <br />authorities of the city pursuant to the provisions of Code of virginia, section 46.2-1300. <br />• <br />Sec. 15-99.
