• AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO CHANGE <br />THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF PARCELS 50, 51, 51.1 AND 52, <br />CITY TAX MAP 61 (1013, 1004, 1006 AND 1010 LINDEN AVENUE) <br />FROM "TWO-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL" TO "COMMERCIAL" <br />WHEREAS, the City has initiated this application, seeking to amend its Comprehensive <br />Plan to change the Land Use Plan designations of Parcels 50, 51, 51.1 and 52, City Tax Map 61, <br />from "Two Family Residential" to "Commercial ("Proposed Amendment"); and <br />WHEREAS, ajoint public hearing on this application was held before the City Council <br />and Planning Commission on June 11, 2002, following notice to the public and to adjacent <br />property owners as required by law; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 11, 2002 the Planning Commission voted to recommend the <br />Proposed Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council finds and determines that the land use designation ("Two - <br />Family Residential") specified for these Parcels within the current Comprehensive Plan, its 2025 <br />Land Use Plan, represents a clerical error made in preparation of the Current Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the subject Parcels have been designated for "Commercial" use on each of <br />is <br />the City's Land Use Plans since 1979, as have all the other properties along Linden Avenue in <br />this area; property surrounding the subject Parcels on Linden Avenue are currently zoned `B-3 <br />Businesst"; and these Parcels themselves are currently zoned "R-2 Residential"; Now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia that the City's <br />current Comprehensive Plan, its 2025 Land Use Plan, is hereby amended as follows: <br />The land use designations of Parcels 50, 51, 51.1 and 52, City Tax Map 61 (1013, 1004, <br />1006 and 1010 Linden Avenue) are hereby changed from "Two Family Residential" to <br />"Commercial." <br />Approved by Council <br />July 15, 2002 <br />k of City Council <br />0 <br />
