Charlottesville, VA 22901 <br />Attn: General Manager • <br />With a courtesy copy to: Adelphia Communications, 675 Peter Jefferson <br />Place, Suite 450, Charlottesville, VA 22911 <br />Such addresses may be changed by either parry upon notice to the other party <br />given as provided in this section. <br />4.10 Franchise Non -Exclusive. <br />A. The Franchise granted herein is nonexclusive. The City specifically <br />reserves the right to grant, at any time, additional franchises for a System <br />in accordance with Applicable Laws and upon terms no more favorable or <br />less burdensome than those imposed on the Grantee. <br />B. The City shall at all times abide by all Applicable Laws with respect <br />to the granting of any additional cable television franchises within the City. <br />In particular, the City shall at all times comply with Virginia Statute Section <br />15.2-2108 and all other Applicable Laws. <br />4.11 Compliance with Laws. This Franchise is granted as an exercise of the <br />City's governmental powers, pursuant to the specific authority conferred upon it <br />by Section 15.2-2108 of the Code of Virginia, as amended. <br />4.12 Cable Advisory Committee. <br />A. After acceptance by the Grantee of this Franchise, the City Council <br />may appoint a Cable Advisory Committee consisting of the following <br />members: (1) the director of communications for the City or other staff <br />representative; (2) a City Council member; (3) the public access <br />coordinator; (4) a public access user; and (5) one or more citizens. <br />Grantee may also appoint one (1) member to the Cable Advisory <br />Commission. The City Council may designate a chairperson of the <br />Committee. Appointed members of the City shall serve for a term of three <br />(3) years. Members may serve consecutive terms subject to confirmation <br />by the City Council. <br />B. The Cable Advisory Committee may meet annually or at such other <br />times as the Committee shall determine. <br />C. The Cable Advisory Committee may: <br />1. Make suggestions to the City Council, at least on an annual <br />basis, regarding the administration and enforcement of this <br />Franchise; <br />
