• AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF <br />CITY -OWNED PROPERTY (7111 STREET N.E. RIGHT OF WAY) <br />TO WEATHER HILL HOLDINGS LTD. <br />WHEREAS, Weather Hill Holdings, Ltd., the owner of property <br />designated as Parcel 152 on City Real Estate Tax Map 53, wishes to acquire a <br />portion of the adjoining 7th Street, N.E. right of way, as shown on the attached <br />plat dated December 6, 2004 (shaded area); and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Virginia Code sec. 15.2-1800 (B), a <br />public hearing was held to give the public an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed conveyance of the City property as requested by Weather Hill Holdings, <br />Ltd.; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, the City Traffic Engineer and the Public <br />Utilities Manager have reviewed the proposed conveyance and have no objection <br />thereto; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the Mayor is authorized to execute a deed of <br />• quitclaim, in form approved by the City Attorney, for that portion of the 7th Street, <br />N.E. right of way, approximately three feet (3') wide and sixty-seven feet (67') in <br />length and approximately 150 square feet in area, adjacent to Parcel 152 on City <br />Tax Map 53, and shown on the attached plat dated December 6, 2004. <br />Compensation to the City for the conveyance shall be $4,245.27, which shall be <br />deposited in the City account for new sidewalk construction. Construction of the <br />sidewalk by the City shall be scheduled for the Spring of 2005. The City Attorney <br />is hereby authorized to take whatever steps are necessary to effect the closing of <br />said property conveyance. <br />Approved by Council <br />January 18, 2005 <br />C , k of City Council <br />
