• A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS TO <br />ACQUIRE TWO PORTIONS OF PARCEL 50 <br />ON CITY REAL.PROPERTY TAX MAP 26. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Charlottesville desires to obtain:two portions <br />of a lot identified as Parcel 50 on City Real Property Tax Map 26 and located <br />at the corner of Raymond Road and Baylor.Lane in order to widen those streets; ' <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the desired portion in the northeast corner of said lot is <br />113.39 square feet and the desired portion in the northwest corner of said lot <br />is 352.53 square feet, making a total of 465.92 square feet; and <br />WHEREAS, the property is owned by Aubrey Coker, or his heirs,: if any; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the whereabouts of Aubrey Coker and his heirs, if any, are <br />unknown and there is no way to obtain fee simple title.to the desired portions <br />of said lot except by condemnation proceedings; now; therefore, be. it <br />•._ RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville that the City <br />Attorney be and he is hereby directed to institute condemnation proceedings <br />for the acquisition of the said portions of the lot owned by Aubrey Coker or his <br />heirs, if any, whose whereabouts are unknown and to file the necessary <br />documents with the Circuit Court of the City of Charlottesville as provided in <br />§33,:1-89 et seq., §15.1-898 and -§15.1-899 of the Code of Virginia (1950), <br />as amended, and §§40 and 50.1 of the Charter of the City of Charlottesville. <br />Copy Teste: <br />Clerk <br />0 <br />Adopted by the Council <br />December 19, 1977 <br />
