NATURAL AREA. . <br />WHEREAS,- the Conservation Council of Virginia.and the Ivy Creek <br />Natural Area Project Committee have developed and submitted a,grant <br />application to the U. S. Department of -Health, Education and Welfare for <br />development of an educational program for the Ivy Creek. Natural Area <br />(Rann Preserve); and <br />WHEREAS, this proposed grant program would be consistent with , <br />and of benefit; to the. plans .of .th6'City'of Charlottesville and County of •. <br />Albemarle for purchase and.development of the -Ivy Creek Natural Area <br />with Bureau of Outdoor -Recreation funding; and y a r <br />.WHEREAS, the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission has <br />given favorable comment on such..grant applicationdin its A95.review of such <br />project, contingent on the agreement of -the City Council and 'the Board of <br />Supervisors 'of Albemarle County; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the'Council;of the City' 'of Charlottesville that <br />the City endorses the aforesaid giant^application to the Department of Health, <br />Education and Welfare; and be it further <br />RESOLVED that -the Clerk of -the Council be'directed to send a copy <br />of this'resolution.,to the Thomas Jefferson.
