• A RESOLUTION. <br />AUTHORIZING THE COMMITMENT OF FUNDS <br />APPROVED IN THE BUDGET FOR THE 1979-80 YEAR. <br />WHEREAS, the budget adopted for the Fiscal Year 79-80 and the <br />appropriation ordinance adopted concurrently therewith include.funds for <br />the repair of certain city buildings including repairs and improvements to <br />the heating system for the McGuffey Art Center; and <br />WHEREAS; the Director of Public Works has. -obtained an estimate <br />for the installation of such improvements to the heating system at <br />McGuffey in the amount of $12,350:00; and <br />WHEREAS, the supplier furnishing such estimate cannotguarantee <br />such price until July 1, 1979, when.such new budget and appropriation <br />become effective, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of. <br />Charlottesville that the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept such <br />estimated price of $12,350.00 immediately; provided, that payment shall <br />not be made for such work until after July 1, 1979, When the installation <br />of such improvements is complete. <br />• <br />Copy Teste: <br />Clerk of the Council <br />• <br />Adopted by the Council <br />May 21, 1979 <br />
