RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION'BY'THE <br />CITY MANAGER OF A CONTRACT AND PERMIT FOR <br />THE YELLOW AMBULANCE COMPANY TO OPERATE <br />A NON -EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE - <br />BASED WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE <br />CITY.OF CHARLOTTESVILLE . <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia <br />has enacted an ordinance arantinq the Yellow Ambulance Company the, <br />exclusive right, privilege, and duty to operate,a non -emergency , <br />ambulance service available to the general public for hire based' <br />within the city limits of the City of Charlottesville for the period <br />beginning February 1, 1980 and ending December 31, 1984; now, <br />therefore, be <br />RESOLVED by the.Council of the City of Charlottesville,,Virginia <br />that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized.to execute>.on.behalf <br />of the City of Charlottesville a contract and permit with the Yellow <br />• Ambulance Company, said contract and permit to contain the same"„ <br />conditions that were duly advertised in the request for bids published <br />in the classified advertising section,of the January 12, 13 and 14, <br />1980 issues of THE DAILY PROGRESS,"a newspaper published•in Charlottes- <br />ville, Virginia; and be it further ' <br />RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council attest the signature of <br />.the City Manager and affix the corporate seal of'the City of <br />Charlottesville to said contract and permit. <br />sle <br />ICY <br />i �1 <br />
