• RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHARLOTTESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT AND <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY TO EXPEND GARRETT STREET NO. VA R-44 FUNDS FOR <br />EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE VINEGAR HILL PROJECT NO. VA R-12. <br />WHEREAS, by agreements dated August 12, 1980, the Charlottes- <br />ville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (Authority) and the City of <br />Charlottesville (City) agreed to settle financially with the Depart- <br />ment of Housing and Urban Development the Vinegar Hill and Garrett <br />Street Redevelopment Projects; and <br />WHEREAS, by the terms of the agreements the Authority was <br />granted responsibility to continue and to complete the remaining <br />project activities for the City; and <br />WHEREAS, there are insufficient funds in the Vinegar Hill <br />Project to complete the execution of program activities, especially <br />with respect to the proposed Hotel/Conference Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the Garrett Street Project has funds which are not <br />required for immediate project needs; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City for the Authority to <br />use Garrett Street Project funds to meet program expense needs in the <br />• Vinegar Hill Project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the Charlottesville Redevelopment and <br />Housing Authority is hereby authorized to utilize such funds of the <br />Garrett Street Project No. VA R-44, as may be required to further the <br />program objectives of the Vinegar Hill Project No. VA R-12, <br />especially with respect to the proposed Vinegar Hill Hotel/Conference <br />Center Program; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that expenditures of Garrett Street <br />Project Funds made prior to the date of this resolution to advance <br />the proposed Vinegar Hill Hotel/Conference Center Program are hereby <br />approved. <br />Approved by Council <br />July 5, 1983 <br />l'lt'� <br />ly r< of Counci <br />0 83-6-30 <br />
