9 <br />Resolution <br />Request for State Aid for the Costs of Public Transportation <br />Fuels, Lubricants, Tires and Maintenance Parts and Supplies <br />Be It Resolved by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, that the City Manager is authorized, for and on behalf of <br />the City, to execute and file an application to the Virginia Department <br />of Highways and Transportation, Commonwealth of Virginia (VDH&T), for <br />a grant of transportation special revenues under Chapter 684, Item 644 <br />of the 1982 Acts of the General Assembly as amended ("The 1982 Appropriations <br />Act"); in the amount of $169,450.00 for fiscal year commencing July 1, 1982, <br />to defray the public transportation fuels, lubricants, tires and maintenance <br />parts and supplies expenses of the City of Charlottesville; to accept from <br />VDH&T grants in such amount as may be awarded; to execute the necessary <br />• grant agreements; and to authorize the Transit Manager to furnish to <br />VDH&T such documents and other information as may be required for processing <br />the grant request. <br />In connection with such grant application the Council certifies that <br />the funds will be used in accordance with the requirements of the 1982 <br />Appropriations Act, as amended, and only for the purposes specified therein; <br />that the City will provide matching funds in the 95% state and 5% city <br />ratio as required in the Act; that the record of receipts and expenditures <br />of funds granted the City as authorized in the Act may be subject to audit <br />by VDH&T and by the State Auditor of Public Accounts. <br />The undersigned duly qualified and Clerk of the Council of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, certifies that the foregoing is a true <br />and correct copy of a resolution adopted ata legally convened meeting <br />of the City Council held on <br />Je e Cox <br />Clerk of City Council <br />" <br />Dat <br />s3-6-31 <br />
