• RESOLUTION GRANTING SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />TO SIGMA ALPHA MU FRATERNITY <br />TO ENLARGE THE EXISTING FRATERNITY AT 619 CABELL AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, the Beta Psi Housing Corporation of Sigma Alpha Mu <br />Fraternity has requested a special use permit to enlarge the <br />existing fraternity at 619 Cabell Avenue; <br />WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this Council <br />and the Planning Commission, duly advertised and held on June 9, <br />1987, this Council finds that such use will conform to the <br />standards set forth in Section 31-28.1 of the City Code and to the <br />criteria applicable to special permits generally under Chapter 31 <br />of the City Code; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia that the special use permit is hereby granted to allow <br />the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity to enlarge the existing fraternity <br />at 619 Cabell Avenue. This property is further identified on City <br />Real Property Tax Map 35 as Parcel 104, having approximately 100 <br />feet of frontage on Cabell Avenue and containing approximately <br />14,996 square feet of land or .344 acres. <br />• This special permit shall be conditioned upon completion of <br />improvements to the property in accordance with the site plan <br />approved by the city planning commission, including those <br />additional improvements and repair measures set forth in a letter <br />from Ronald D. Wiley, Jr., counsel for the fraternity, to the <br />Director of Planning and Community Development dated July 14, <br />1987, which letter is incorporated by reference in this <br />resolution. <br />Approved by Council <br />July 20, 1987 <br />C. <br />C c o Counci <br />• <br />
