0 <br />RESOLUTION <br />Request for State Aid for public <br />Transportation Administrative Expenses <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />that the City Manager is authorized, for and on behalf of the City of <br />Charlottesville, to execute and file an application to the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation, Commonwealth of Virginia, for a grant of <br />transportation special revenues, in Chapter 643, budget item 634 of the <br />1986 Acts of the General Assembly in the amount of $ 198,727.50 for <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 1987, to defray the public <br />transportation administrative expenses of the City of Charlottesville <br />and to accept from the Virginia Department of Transportation grants in <br />such amount as may be awarded, and to authorize the Transit Manager to <br />furnish to the Virginia Department of Transportation such documents and <br />other information as may be required for processing the grant request. <br />The City Council certifies: that the funds shall be used in <br />is accordance with the requirements of the Appropriations Act of 1986; <br />that the City of Charlottesville will provide matching funds of <br />fifty (50%) as required in such Act; that the record of receipts and <br />expenditure of funds granted the City of Charlottesville as authorized <br />in the Acts of the General Assembly (Chapter 643, Appropriation <br />Item 634) may be subject to audit by the Department of Transportation <br />and by the State Auditor of Public Accounts; and that funds granted <br />to the City of Charlottesville for defraying the expenses of public <br />transportation administration of the City of Charlottesville shall <br />be used only for such purpose as authorized in the Acts of the <br />General Assembly. <br />The undersigned duly qualified and acting Clerk of City Council <br />of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia certifies that the foregoing <br />is a true and correct copy of a resolution, adopted at a legally <br />convened meeting of the City Council held on June 15, 1987 <br />�lu Q_- !_ <br />i nature <br />Clerk of Council <br />Title <br />• June 15, 1987 <br />Date <br />87-6-35 <br />
