0 <br />RESOLUTION <br />Request for State Aid for Public <br />Transportation Fuels, Lubricants, Tires, <br />and Maintenance Parts and Supplies <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />that the City Manager is authorized, for and on behalf of the City of <br />Charlottesville, to execute and file an application to the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation, Commonwealth of Virginia, for a grant of <br />transportation fund authorized in Chapter 643, budget item 634 of the <br />1986 Acts of the General Assembly in the amount of $ 301,171 for fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 1987, to defray the public transportation <br />fuels, lubricants, tires, and maintenance parts and supplies expenses <br />of the City of Charlottesville and to accept from the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation grants in such amount as may be awarded, <br />and to authorize the Transit Manager to furnish to the Virginia <br />Department of Transportation such documents and other information as <br />may be required for processing the grant request. <br />The City Council certifies: that the funds shall be used in <br />• accordance with the requirements of the Appropriations Act of 1986; <br />that the City of Charlottesville will provide matching funds of <br />five (5%) as required in such Act; that the record of receipts and <br />expenditure of funds granted the City of Charlottesville as authorized <br />in the Acts of the General Assembly (Chapter 643, Appropriation <br />Item 634) may be subject to audit by the Department of Transportation <br />and by the State Auditor of Public Accounts; and that funds granted <br />to the City of Charlottesville for defraying the expenses of public <br />transportation fuels, lubricants, tires, and maintenance parts and <br />supplies'of the City of Charlottesville shall be used only for such <br />purpose as authorized in the Acts of the General Assembly. <br />The undersigned duly qualified and acting Clerk of City Council <br />of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia certifies that the foregoing <br />is a true and correct copy of a resolution, adoJpte at l�gpplly <br />convened meeting of the City Council held on , <br />Si ature <br />Clerk of -Council <br />Title <br />• June 15, 1987 <br />Date <br />87-6-35 <br />
