• RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Charlottesville has been <br />furnished a copy of a letter from R. L. Hundley, Environmental <br />Engineer, Department of Transportation, dated October 3, 1988, <br />addressed to Robert W. Tucker, Jr., Deputy County Executive (copy <br />attached); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council supports the resolution adopted on <br />September 23, 1988, by the Albemarle/Charlottesville/University of <br />Virginia Joint Transportation Committee as it relates to the U. S. <br />Route 29 North Environmental Impact Statement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council especially supports the testing, <br />through the Traffic Model, of the proposed grade -separated <br />interchanges of U. S. Route 29 North/Rio Road and U. S. Route 29 <br />North/Hydraulic Road as both of the proposed interchanges are a <br />part of the Charlottesville Area Transportation Study and have <br />never been deleted as a needed improvement for U. S. Route 29 North <br />by either the City of Charlottesville or the County of Albemarle; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, <br />Virginia, that Council restates its support of the resolution <br />• mentioned above, and orders that copies of this resolution be <br />forwarded to The Honorable Vivian Watts, Secretary of <br />Transportation; Mrs. Constance Kinchloe, Culpeper District <br />Commissioner; Mr. Ray Pethtel, Highway Commissioner; Mr. R. L. <br />Hundley, Department of Transportation; The Honorable Thomas J. <br />Michie, Jr.; The Honorable Mitchell Van Yahres; The Honorable <br />George F.
