• RESOLUTION <br />PROPOSING AMENDMENTS TO THE ZONING REGULATIONS <br />IN SECTIONS 34-857, 34-143 AND 34-173 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTESVILLE, 1990, AS AMENDED <br />WHEREAS, the public necessity, convenience, general welfare <br />and good zoning practice require the City Council to consider <br />certain amendments to the zoning regulations contained in sections <br />34-857, 34-143 and 34-173 of Chapter 34 of the Code of the City of <br />Charlottesville; and, <br />WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to City Code section 34-857, <br />attached hereto, will further the public safety and welfare by <br />specifying standards and procedures for the removal of potentially <br />dangerous trees; and, <br />• WHEREAS, the proposed amendments to sections 34-143 and 34- <br />173, attached hereto, promote good zoning practices by allowing for <br />review of decisions regarding the waiver of required sidewalks, <br />curbs and gutters; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the Planning Commission is hereby <br />requested to consider, after a joint public hearing, the attached <br />proposed amendments to sections 34-857, 34-143 and 34-173 of the <br />City Code, 1990, as amended, and make recommendations to the City <br />Council. <br />Approved by Council <br />November 18, 199.1 <br />It erk of City Council <br />0 <br />
