• RETIREMENT RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, September 30, 1991, was the deadline for election <br />under the City's "one-time" optional early retirement program, and <br />WHEREAS, as a result of that program, the City has now lost <br />the services of fifty-eight (58) of its most experienced employees, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, among these fifty-eight employees there is an <br />aggregate of one thousand five hundred twenty-five (1,525) years of <br />employee service for the City, and <br />WHEREAS, this group of employees, because of its extraordinary <br />amount of dedicated and loyal service and resulting experience, <br />represents one of the most valued assets from which the City and <br />• our community have benefitted during a very large portion of this <br />century, <br />NOW THEREFORE, we, the City Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, do hereby thank this group of long-time employees <br />for all of their collective years of service, and do further <br />express our deepest appreciation in behalf of the city organization <br />and in behalf of our community to these employees for their good <br />work, numerous contributions, and conscientious efforts, some of <br />which have gone well beyond the ordinary call of duty. Those left <br />behind in the City work force will miss you. And, you will not be <br />forgotten. Together you have left your mark.
