• <br />• <br />• <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />TO MARTHA JEFFERSON HOSPITAL TO ALLOW <br />FOR THE EXPANSION OF MARTHA JEFFERSON HOSPITAL. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Martha Jefferson <br />Hospital has requested a special permit to allow expansion of <br />the hospital with parking decks, and involving properties on <br />both sides of the 500 block of St. Charles Avenue and Taylor <br />Street, having collectively 350 feet of frontage on each side <br />of St. Charles Avenue, 255 feet of frontage on Taylor Street, <br />257 feet of frontage on Sycamore Street and containing <br />collectively 88,150 square feet of land or 2.02 acres; and <br />WHEREAS, following a joint public hearing before this <br />Council and the Planning Commission, duly advertised and held <br />on March 8, 1988, and subsequently continued on April 12, <br />1988, this Council finds that such use will conform to the <br />criteria applicable to special permits generally under <br />Chapter 31 of the City Code; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the special permit is hereby <br />granted to Martha Jefferson Hospital to allow expansion of <br />the hospital. <br />This special use permit is also subject to the follow- <br />ing conditions: <br />1. Administrative approval of a final detailed site <br />plan which shall include, among other things, the following: <br />a) Location of all minimum building setback lines; <br />b) Correct site elevations and building height <br />elevations;. <br />c) A detailed sign package in compliance with the <br />City Code for all proposed signage; <br />d) Storm water run-off calculations and storm <br />water detention calculations; <br />e) Information pertaining to the location and <br />sound buffering of proposed mechanical <br />equipment; <br />f) Further details on specific landscaping plant <br />materials in a final landscaping plan; <br />g) A signature panel; <br />h) A grading and soil erosion/sediment control <br />plan filed separately for review and approval <br />prior to final site plan approval; and <br />i) A plat submitted separately showing the <br />combined parcels in the special use permit <br />application (including .those parcels of land on <br />which the,existing hospital is located), as a <br />single lot once the street closings occur. <br />1 <br />
