• RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Charlottesville -Albemarle Jaycees intend to <br />sponsor a circus in the City of Charlottesville from April 29-30, <br />1991; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been requested that Council waive certain <br />license tax and other requirements applicable to the circus; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council is willing to support this request to <br />the extent set forth below; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville <br />that the following fees and requirements are waived: <br />1. The circus performance fees of $150 for the first <br />performance and $100 for each subsequent performance <br />ordinarily imposed by City Code Section 14-55(5). <br />2. The $10 tent erection fee imposed by City Code <br />• Section 5-57; <br />3. $50 per annum Peddlers License fee or tax imposed by City <br />Code Section 14-49(d). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following matters, to the <br />extent applicable, are not waived: <br />1. Inspections for amusement rides associated with the <br />circus, if any, and any related fees. <br />2. $50 per day deposit to cover the cost of additional city <br />services, which fee may be refunded in part, imposed by <br />City Code Section 3-2. <br />3. The Jaycees shall furnish proper documentation to the <br />City that adequate liability insurance is in place <br />covering this event in an amount of at least $1,000,000, <br />with the City being named as an additional insured. <br />Approved by Council <br />April 15, 1991 <br />rk of City Council <br />
