• 8.7 Implementation of a Restricted Parkin Bloc <br />lock <br />The Petition for permit parking, which is only advisory in nature, must be signed by owners <br />or agents for owners responsible for at least sixty (60) percent of the Affected Households on a <br />proposed Permit Parking Block. <br />Owners of or agents for multi -unit structures may sign for all of the potential occupants of <br />the structure for purposes of this petition requirement. <br />8.8 On -street Parkin Survey <br />urvev <br />The total number of on -street parking spaces occupied by commuter vehicles need only be <br />50% when the parking surveys are conducted. No more than two (2) surveys shall be required, one <br />during daytime hours and one during evening hours. <br />8.9 Notice to Affected Households <br />Once a date has been set for Council consideration of the proposed restricted parking block, <br />notice shall be given to Affected Households as follows: (1) a letter from the City Traffic En ig neer <br />shall be mailed, first-class, postage prepaid, to each of the owners of record of the properties within <br />the proposed restricted parking block, and (2) the City Traffic Engineer shall post notice on <br />temporary signs in two or more places along the streets located within the proposed restricted <br />• parking block. All of the notices must contain information on the nature of the proposed changes and <br />the date on which Council will consider approving the new restricted parking block, and must be <br />posted and mailed not less than ten (10) days prior to the subject Council meeting. The notices shall <br />also invite comments and attendance by concerned residents of the proposed restricted parking <br />block. The City Traffic Engineer shall make affidavit that the required notices have been given and <br />keep the affidavit with the other papers related to the proposed restricted parking block. Nothing <br />in this paragraph shall be construed to invalidate the creation of a restricted parking block because <br />of the inadvertent failure of the Traffic Engineer to give the above-described notices or make <br />affidavit thereof. <br />Date: September 19, 1988 <br />Amended February 14, 1990 <br />Amended January 7, 1991 <br />Amended May 1, 1995 <br />Amended August 17, 1998 <br />M <br />
