SECTION 10. AUTOMOBILE <br />• The Manager's duties require that he shall have the exclusive and unrestricted use at <br />all times during his employment with the City of Charlottesville of an automobile provided <br />to him by the City. The City shall be responsible for liability, property damage and <br />comprehensive insurance, and for the purchase, operation, maintenance, repair and regular <br />replacement of said automobile. <br />SECTION 11. VACATION AND SICK LEAVE BENEFITS <br />.The Manager shall be entitled to five weeks annual leave with a maximum accrual of <br />six weeks, and shall accrue three weeks sick leave each year with no maximum accrual. He <br />shall be entitled to any other categories of leave and paid holidays on the same basis as other <br />City employees. <br />SECTION 12. INSURANCE BENEFITS <br />A. The City will provide at City expense family health care insurance for the <br />Manager equal to that provided to other full time employees of the City. <br />• B. The City will pay the premiums on a disability insurance policy from a mutually <br />acceptable insurer, sufficient to provide the Manager with a monthly payment equal to 70% <br />of his monthly salary in the event of his disability. <br />C. The City will pay premiums, not to exceed $2,500 per year, on behalf of the City <br />Manager on a life insurance policy issued by a mutually acceptable insurer. This insurance <br />coverage will be in addition to the standard City -paid life insurance provided to all full-time <br />employees. <br />SECTION 13. RETIREMENT BENEFITS <br />Effective July 1, 1996, the City Manager shall become an active participant in the <br />City's Supplemental Retirement or Pension Plan ("the City Retirement Plan" or "Plan"). As <br />of that date he shall start with 14 years and seven months of creditable service in the City <br />Retirement Plan and will begin accruing additional years of creditable service for each <br />subsequent year of employment with the City. As such, the City Manager's defined benefits <br />under the Plan shall be the same as those benefits owed to any other similarly situated <br />employee within said Plan. <br />0 <br />
