Edwards, Mr. Towe, <br />Mr. Vandever, Ms. Waters. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Towe, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the <br />minutes of the November 7th meeting were unanimously approved <br />as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev. Edwards, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the <br />minutes of the November 9th meeting were approved as <br />presented~ with Mr. Towe abstaining. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Towe, seconded by Rev. Edwards, the <br />minutes of the November 14th meeting were unanimouSly <br />approved as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Rev. Edwards, seconded by Mr. Vandever, the <br />minutes of the November 21st meeting were unanimously <br />approved as presented. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Vandever, seconded by Mr. Towe, the <br />minutes of the November 29th meeting were approved as <br />presented, with Rev. Edwards abstaining. <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Mr. David Brown, a resident of RugbY Avenue and a <br />business owner on West Main Street requested that Council <br />express its dissatisfaction with the proposed relocation of <br />the ABC Store to West Main Street because the area borders on <br />a residential area, because of the possibility of loitering, <br />increased crime and public drunkenness, and because West Main <br />Street is the major corridor between the University and <br />downtown. <br /> <br /> Ms. Waters stated that the location of the ABC Store is <br />not a Council decision, but that the City has been working <br />with the State ABC Board to find a site which is both <br />accessible and will not have a negative impact on the <br />surrounding neighborhood. <br /> <br /> Rev. William Johnson stated that the recent decision of <br />School Board member James Hingeley to remove his children <br />from Walker Upper Elementary School and subsequent refusal to <br />make public his reasons for doing so has created controversy <br />in the community. Rev. Johnson requested that Council act to <br />remove Mr. Hingeley from the School Board. <br /> <br /> <br />
