Mr. Lawrence Burruss, Vice-Chairman of the CDBG Task Force, stated that the 12% allocation for social programs had previously been recommended by the Task Force, which was seen as a compromise position. Mr. Burruss stated that the Task Force would be willing to have the Social Development Commission re-open the issue with the Task Force. It was the consensus of Council to maintain the allocation for social program funding at 12% with the understanding that the allocation could be revised at a later date after the program requests are known. APPROPRIATION: $50,000 - URBAN DESIGN PLAN (2nd reading) The $50,000 appropriation for the Urban Design Plan which was offered at the October 20th meeting, was approved by the following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Hall, Mr. Towe. Noes: None. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $50,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated fund balance of the General Fund to expenditure account 01-33030 for the purpose of hiring a consultant to prepare an Urban Design Plan for the City. APPROPRIATION: (2nd reading) ADJUSTMENTS TO FY ENDING JUNE 30, 1986 The appropriation making adjustments to FY ending June 30, 1986 which was offered at the October 20th meeting, was approved by the following vote.
