Mr. <br />Buck stated that he would like to see the City, County and <br />University try to direct future road projects by doing a <br />comprehensive review of proposed projects and how one <br />project might impact another. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gerald Fisher, Chairman of the Albemarle County <br />Board of Supervisors, stated that in 1974 the through <br />traffic on Route 29 North was supposed to have been 14%, <br />but there was no way of knowing if that information Was <br />still correct. <br /> <br /> Mr. Joseph Henley and Rev. Peter Way, members of the <br />Board of Supervisors, questioned the need for a study. <br /> <br /> Mr. Timothy Lindstrom, a member of the Board of <br />Supervisors, stated that the CATS Study had included the <br />Western Bypass as part of the road system, but the Western <br />Bypass had been rejected by the Board of Supervisors. <br />As a result, the impact on the remaining projects could be <br />affected. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buck stated that the City had assumed there would <br />be a Western Bypass when the Meadowcreek Parkway was <br />approved and was concerned that the Meadowcreek Parkway not <br />become an internal bypass. Mr. Buck stresSed that he was <br />interested in making the right decision on the basis of the <br />best information available. <br /> <br /> Mr. Barnes stated that because of the availability of <br />funds, something is going to be done by the State and he <br />felt there was utility in having new data which might lead <br />to a decision for road needs which could be less burdensome <br />for the community than those presently proposed. <br /> <br /> <br />
