1 2.3 <br /> <br />05-61140 for architectural and conStruction supervision <br />services in connection with the renovation of Clark <br />Elementary School. The sum of $73,560.76 representing the <br />remaining balance of the sum previously appropriated to <br />expenditure account 05-61090 in the Capital Projects Fund, <br />being no longer needed for the purposes originally intended, <br />is likewise transferred and reappropriated to expenditure <br />account 05-61140 for such expenses of the Clark Elementary <br />School renovation project. When added to the sum previously <br />appropriated, such appropriation and transfer will bring the <br />total appropriated for such project to date to $246,125.00. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLAN <br /> <br /> The Clark Elementary School renovation project is <br />included in the City's adopted Capital Improvements Plan for <br />1987-92. Tha plan is hereby amended to increase the <br />estimated expenditures for the fiscal year ending June 30, <br />1987 by the amount of the foregoing appropriation and <br />transfer, and to decrease the estimated expenditures in the <br />next ensuing fiscal year by a like amount. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,395 - COPY MACHINE FOR OFFICE OF COMMONWEALTH'S <br />ATTORNEY (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> The $1,395 appropriation for a copy machine for the <br />Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney which was offered at <br />the January 15th meeting, was approved by the following <br />vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. Gleason, Dr. Hall, <br />Mr. Towe. Noes: None <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia that the sum of $1,395.00 received <br />as additional revenue from the Commonwealth of Virginia for <br />the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney is hereby <br />appropriated to General Fund expenditure account 01-12040- <br />5501 to be used for the reaplacement of capital equipment in <br />such office. <br /> <br />APPROPRIATION: $38,085 - TONSLER PARK TENNIS COURTS (2nd reading) <br /> <br /> Mr. Wiley recommended that the appropriation be <br />amended to include the $25,000 grant from the Alton Jones <br />Foundation for the construction of the tennis courts. <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Dr. Hall, the <br />appropriation was unanimously amended. <br /> <br /> The $38,085 appropriation which was offered at the <br />January 20th meeting was approved, as amended, by the <br />following vote. Ayes: Mr. Barnes, Mr. Buck, Mrs. <br />Gleason, Dr. Hall, Mr. Towe. Noes: None. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of <br />Charlottesville, Virginia, that the sum of $13,085 is hereby <br />transferred from the unappropriated balance of the General <br />Fund to the Capital Projects Fund and appropriated to <br />expenditure account 05-52080 and used for additional <br />expenses incurred in the construction of tennis courts in <br />Tonsler Park. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the sum of $25,000 to be <br />received as a grant from the W. Alton Jones Foundation is <br />hereby designated as revenue in the Capital Projects Fund <br />and is also appropriated to expenditure account 05-52080 for <br />the construction of such tennis courts. <br /> <br /> When these accounts are combined with funds previously <br />appropriated to account 05-52080, and with the $20,000 <br />previously appropriated in the Community Development Block <br />Grant Fund, the total appropriated for the Tonsler Park <br />tennis courts will be $96,083. <br /> <br /> <br />
